Nathan Wagar
Nathan joined the Army at 17 to escape a life of gang violence in California, and deployed twice to northern Iraq with 101st Airborne. He was selected along with others from infantry recon sections as part of a special task force charged with kill-or-capture missions of high value targets, and these experiences give his analytic style a unique flavor.
He currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and teaches civilians and members of the USSS assigned to the ABQ field office. He focuses on using complex systems science to merge the gap between academia and practical application in combat sports, personal protection, and CQB tactics; and the seriousness with which he approaches his material is matched only by his astoundingly effeminate taste in coffee. When not coaching, training, or working on a new project, he spends an obscene amount of time getting really, really pissed off at his hetero-lifemate Juan.
